David, I find your comment to be a bit harsh. I am a faithful subscriber to Lynda.com and find their video tutorials top-notch and incredibly helpful in my pursuit to understanding Flex 2 and various other programs. Personally I find lots of gems ("cairigorm") in every lesson I watch.

The "Essential Training" was absolutely essential for me. I have contacted Lynda.com and requested further training for Flex 2, which they have since released under the title "Beyond the Basics." I look forward to further releases that will help equip me to do what I want to do with Flex 2. Sorry to here that you were a bit disappointed. Instead of hurling insults why not simply express your desire for more in depth training. I am a firm believer of "Ask and you shall receive!" Try giving it a shot. :)

This is intended to be introductory material.

If you look at the pattern suggested by other topics in the Online Training Library, "Essential Training" comes first, usually followed by "Beyond the Basics" and then a variety of topic-specific titles. Anyone who has the basics under his or her belt already, and is comfortable with the material presented here, will of course be better-served by future releases.

No one thinks that 4.5 hours is sufficient to teach everything there is to know about Flex 2, but for a beginner there's little sense starting in the middle!

At the Flashforward conference we'll have both beginner and advanced topics on offer, FYI.
