» Frequently Asked Questions about Flashforward@Macworld

Q: How does this event differ from a typical Flashforward conference?

A: Flashforward is one of many other programs being offered at the larger Macworld Conference & Expo. Our sessions will consist of a single track that runs for two days. What this means is that everyone will attend the same sessions, unlike larger Flashforward conferences where we offer concurrent sessions across 3-4 tracks. All sessions will be presented using the Mac versions of all software. There will be no Flashforward Film Festival associated with this event.

Q: What makes this a Flashforward event?

A: To ensure a quality educational experience, Macworld asked us to organize a Flashforward Mac-centric educational track this year. So, we carefully selected a few of our most popular speakers, along with some key Flash stakeholders at Adobe, to share the latest tools and techniques in this unique context. The sessions represent a sampling of the content we would typically offer at a full-scale Flashforward Conference.

Q: Who should attend Flashforward@Macworld?

A: Macworld attendees who want to acquire a strong foundation in the latest Flash and Flex tools. If you have no interest in Macs, or are an advanced Flash or Flex user, these sessions are probably not for you.

Q: What other Flashforward events will take place in 2007?

A: We’re still finalizing the details and will share them as soon as we can. We plan to hold a full-scale Flashforward Conference & Film Festival in the fall, in the Eastern portion of the US. We have other Flashforward-related events still in development so stay tuned for more!

A brand new conference from lynda.com Events is also coming in 2007:

Dx3: Design, Develop, Deploy
May 15-18, 2007
Marriott Copley Place, Boston

We’ll publish complete details about this exciting event very soon!
