Sorry, but I have to speak for more than a few of my friends here with a little rant:
I've been here a whole day and haven't opened the app (Flash, remember Flash?) or looked at a single snippet of code. I carry a laptop so I can download the examples and participate in sessions. Didn't fire it up at all yesterday. It's all very inspiring and far more entertaining than past shows, but I was inspired when before I got here. I want to get some edge. I can't believe I sat in a session from Grant Skinner and did not examine a single line of code. This sucks. A show nearly 100% void of technical discussion. It's as if Beau castrated Flash Forward. This is usually the junk you talk about at the bar later, after you're a little buzzed. Where's the frickin meat man. It's not that I don't get what you're trying to do here, it just isn't what I pay to come here for.

Passion in our work and daily life is the engine of our success. It does not only help us forward but also provides energy, feelings of happiness, drive and persistence. By focussing on 'passion'it becomes more clear that this will help us to understand the issues in a more transparant and clear way. A theory, policy or regulation one should be able to explain to a 12 year old child - once this has been done the passion will enter to work on the subject and develop and/or push it forward. It will certainly encourage your creativity and develop your ability to come forward with solutions and new ideas. Personally I experience this in my daily work and life more explicit since I started to realise and experienced the fun of it and saw the proven results. Think about to do things different, in another way - do not delay / do it now. The past you have, the future you have to create. Good luck!

I attend Flashforward to see new code examples or an unusual idea on how to build something. Often I learning how to build something I don't know how to do. I attend for the code more than the for ideas. Please do not make this a design conference. Although I enjoy the design sessions, they aren't why I pay to attend. Most Flash developers and designers have Passion. What we don't have is time!
